Card image link to open Active View Card

I love the plugin so far, but need to fix one thing.

I am using the Sacramento Theme in WP, follow link and scroll down to the timeline:
https://www.artacademy.edu/news-events/150th-anniversary/

-  Can I have my card’s “featured image” open the Active View pop-up (to the right of the card) just like if you clicked the “Read More” button?

I love the active view preview, and would like the image to open it as well.

I know that I can change the “photo url” in the individual timeline item settings, but I don’t want the image to open the original post.

Let me know if you have a quick fix for this request. I am comfortable making any coding changes as long as you provide exactly what to change, and where to change it.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Hi,

Thank you for your kind words.

Actually there is a possibility to achieve what you want with just plugin settings.

What you need to do first is to change this setting to whole item, screen: http://prntscr.com/jxywji

After that just disable pretty photo option here : http://prntscr.com/jxyx2p

And you should have card that do just what you want.

If for any reason something is not working as expected then we will need to check your project and probably debug before finding solution within plugin code.

So please first try this and inform us of the result.

No, this doesn't work. It still opens the "featured image" in a lightbox instead of opening the Active View Card.

Any other thoughts? I'm assuming something in the source code would need to change on the featured image to set it to open Active View instead of link to the photo's source url.

Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Disabling "Pretty Photo" just removes the overlay animation on the featured image, but it still has it's "rel" attribute set to prettyPhoto, which I assume is triggering the same lightbox function on click:

Featured image html output from web inspector:

<a class="timeline_rollover_bottom con_borderImage" href="https://www.artacademy.edu/news-events/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/matt-cac.jpg" rel="prettyPhoto[09/2015]">https://www.artacademy.edu/news-events/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/matt-cac-_resized390x280.jpg" alt="" style="width: auto; height: auto;" class="jetpack-lazy-image--handled" data-lazy-loaded="1" scale="0">https://www.artacademy.edu/news-events/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/matt-cac-_resized390x280.jpg">http...">https://www.artacademy.edu/news-events/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/matt-cac-_resized390x280.jpg">http..." alt=""/>

Should I get rid of that relative attribute in the source code? What would I change to allow the "Whole Card as Read More Type" to work properly?

Thanks

Hi,

In our test environment this works and after checking this we can confirm there is no pretty photo rel.
It looks like disabling pretty photo is not functioning properly for some reason in your project.

We can test this. Can you send your WP and FTP access to our support team via email to support@shindiristudio.com
