I’m using the Products template and would like to know why changing the doctype to <!DOCTYPE html> breaks the products items and products-items-detals views? The main products page is fine with it.

How should photos be added to this? Do they replace the image holders, or are they added to the same folders along with the placeholders? Is there any way to upload several images at once?
Also, Do the photos need to be sized according to the placeholder sizes (so, 3 versions of each photo), or will the plugin resize one photo for whichever page/view it’s used on?

Thanks!

Hi,

only differences there is that with declaration used  frame-sets are not allowed. check this link and try to find problem/solution there https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_doctype.asp
but we must add we don't recommend changing this anyway. Declaration used is there for a reason.

For product images just call the correct image from the product images folder. It will replace the image holder as long as it is linked correctly.  And yes plugin will resize images to available space.  Also you can check the documentation to see the examples.

Thank you, will leave the Doctype alone.
In the image folders, is it best to leave the placeholders alone and add my images under different names (not img1, img2, for example)? Or should I replace the placeholders with my own images named  img1, img2, etc.?
Will have another look at the example/code, but wasn't sure what would be best.

Thanks again, this plugin looks great!

Hi,

thank you for your kind words. You can rename images anyway you like. Just make sure you use proper path to call em.
