enable sidebar in responsive mode

Hi, we are using this theme for blog/portal and we have advertisements on the sidebar. In responsive mode, the sidebar is not available and this will impact the advertisement display.
We tried to remove the display:none for sidebar in css, but the sidebar seems to overlap with the content.
1. Is there any other way to enable the sidebar for all?
2. Is it possible to turn off the entire responsive and show the website in mobile without responsive (display as what we see from desktop browser)?
Please advise.

We would like to know:

While we are at it, another question:
3. When we view the first section in Home "Category Slider", the image seems to cut off compared to when we view in desktop. When we view your demo site - Default Slider, the "Category Slider" seems to show in ratio as what we view in desktop. How can we get that display/layout?
