Menu and logo layout issues

I previously posted ticket #181, but it has been closed – so I’m creating a new ticket! In that post I was asking how I could vertically centre my logo and nav menu – the default in the theme is for the menu to align to the top of the logo, but this is not what I want. The response I was given I think is the one used for fixing certain issues with how the menu is positioned during re-sizing (I have been given the same response before) – can you please help with my vertical alignment issue?

Also, while on the subject – I have made all the recommended changes to style.css regarding the menu, but am still having issues – at resolutions low enough for the nav menu to become a drop down box, the logo above does not align to the horizontal centre – which it does on your demo site – my menu is positioned to the left of centre. Please can you help with this? Finally, how would I change the resolution at which the nav menu turns into a drop down please?

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry for the late response, but can you please provide a link to your site so we can look at the issues first-hand?

Kind regards,

No problem - it's here

A colleague of yours helped me via email regarding centring the logo at low resolutions, but I am still having issues with the nav menu as it overlaps the logo when at slightly lower resolutions - for this a solution of either spreading the nav over two lines, or switching to the drop down (to the right of the logo) would work please.

Some help vertically centring the nav menu and logo would be great too please
Thanks

Hi,

Yeah, we noticed the problem, to fix this, edit style.css in the main xsquare folder, find line 993 that says #content img {max-width: 100%;} and change it to #content img {max-width: 100%; margin-top:80px;} That should hopefully resolve your issues.

Kind regards,

Thanks - that has kind of worked... The menu now doesn't overlap, but it appears above the logo.

I'm looking to (at higher resolutions) make the menu vertically centred to the logo (rather than the current top aligning). How would this be done please?

I'm not sure about the menu appearing above the logo @ 768px; how would I make it change to the drop down version @768px wide please?

Thanks again

FYI - in case I'm not being completely clear, here's a mockup of what I'm looking to do with the menu: Image

Just realised that the last fix recommended has added 80px top padding to almost everything on the site! For example, if you go to http://development.samrickettsdesign.co.uk/our-work-branding/ and view it @ 768px wide or lower, you'll notice the buttons underneath the title now have huge gaps above each row... The same is happening wherever columns are used (rather than just full width, which is fine)...
