Hi,

I’m having a problem that I noticed is open in the queue – I’ll mark this as higher priority as there are now two of us!

When I hover across the top menu, items remain highlighted when I move off them – this means the submenus don’t open.

Hi,

From the first glance it seems like some plugin is causing javascript errors, which is what bugs the menu, since it also uses javascript to functions. If you send us your WP login info to support@shindiristudio.com we can be more specific about what's causing the issue.

Thanks for the response but I'm not sure that's actually the case

I've built a temporary development site with a fresh install of WordPress which has exactly the same problem:

It's a fresh install of WordPress 3.6 with absolutely no plugins installed

Am happy to give you login details, but I suspect this is an environment you could easily recreate yourselves.

Is it possible that the theme isn't compatible with the latest version of WordPress (3.6)?

Hi,

On closer inspection, it seems you are right, but it's not an issue with the latest version of WP per se, but with the newer versions of jQuery, which are the default for WP 3.6. You can go around this by editing the functions.php of our theme, find line wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); (should be line 36 or so) and change it to wp_enqueue_script('xS-jquery', 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8/jquery.min.js'); This should be a temporary solution until we get an update for the theme out.

Good work!
- that allows things to work for me at least in the short term.

Of course, it'd be good to have things working with the latest version of jQuery for compatibility, but I can understand that's going to take a little time.

Look forward to hearing from you when the update for the theme is available - I'd be grateful if you could update this ticket please when you do release the updated theme so that I am aware of the update to install it.
