No images display - no date

Why do my images not appear on the timeline without having to edit the post and re-enter the image? (see http://prntscr.com/7s2d3r and also http://prntscr.com/7s2dx8) As you can see, the url of the image is already listed in the content. The same image and post appear correctly in the grid of my posts. (http://prntscr.com/7s2eak) and it appears from your live preview that this is how they should appear on the timeline. Also, how do you get the date of the post to appear on the timeline? I do not have “hide years” checked in the settings. (http://prntscr.com/7s2f02).
I can get the date field to appear if I switch to date rather than category. But I need the category with the date. On my Joomla site I can do this using the Knight TimelineJS. It pulls the date, article, and image into the timeline automatically. Is this not possible in Wordpress? http://prntscr.com/7s2njj

Here is the details instruction how can you change your Timeline to show years:
File is located in /wp-content/plugins/content_timeline/js/frontend/jquery.timeline.min.js.
Before you do anything, please consider to make a backup of your current script.
The bolded number is the index for making the space between the dots. Is the number higher the space is tighter, in other case if you put a smaller number the space is wider.
