Settings buttons aren't clickable

When going into the Content Timeline and seeing the settings buttons on the rights side (GLOBAL, BUTTONS, etc.) I can’t click on them.  The SAVE and PREVIEW work fine but the others do not.

We need to use this ASAP as it is the main feature for our new site.

Hi,

can you check if you have latest version of the plugin, it should be 4.4.5 and if it is not please update as that issue is sorted already.

It shows 4.4.2 but doesn't say that it needs an update.

The only option I guess is to just install it again?  I really don't want to have to re-create this entire timeline.

Hi,

You should download latest version from CodeCanyon.

Then connect via FTP and copy new plugin in the same location as existing one. 
Plugin files are located in wp-content > plugins > content_timeline. This method make sure you wont loose any content you already created.

Make sure to create backup with existing plugin before doing this.

If you are not confident doing this alone you can send wp and ftp login details via email to support@shindiristudio.com and our team can do this for you.

I am looking at the user manual and it states when updating the plugin, to disable first then delete.  Then install again.  Why is there not just an update option within WP like other plugins.  If you remove the plugin, what happens to the timelines we have already created?  There was a ton of work and many hours creating our History timeline and have a great fear that we will lose everything!

I have done this before and have downloaded the newer version.  I'll try a backup and get our IT folks to help if needed.

Hi,

if you already updated this plugin via ftp before then just do the same again. You can also follow instructions from documentation no problem. If you remove the plugin via ftp and install new version in same location content is still there.

Haven't done it with this site but in the past.  Just worried that overwriting the plugin would also overright/remove the timelines created.

I just updated the plugin and it still does not work.  When you mouse over the settings buttons on the right instead of being clickable it stays with the 4 arrow mouse icon and will not click.  The only things that work are the save and review buttons.
